The two most common reason for the device not being detected after connecting to home Wi-Fi are:

  • Incorrect Wi-Fi passcode. In this case, Felik should revert back to "hotspot" mode within ~30 seconds.
  • In some cases, Felik may not be detected by the mobile app when connected to your home Wi-Fi network due to the Wi-Fi router blocking certain ports which Felik uses for device discovery. Felik requires UDP port 8080 to be open in order to perform device discovery. Please refer to your router's user manual to learn how to forward UDP port 8080 to allow the Felik app to discover the device on your network.

Additionally, you can try performing the following steps if your Felik is not being detected in the Manage Devices section of the mobile app. After each step below, check to see if your problem was resolved before performing the next step:

  1. Ensure that your mobile device is connected to the same Wi-fi network as Felik.
  2. If your Felik was previously connected to your home Wi-Fi network, power-cycle it by unplugging it, waiting 3 seconds, and plugging it back in. Wait for Felik to fully boot (~1 minute). Otherwise, skip this step.
  3. Go to your mobile device's Wi-Fi settings and check for a network called Felik_xxxx (where xxxx is a sequence of alphanumeric characters).
  4. If you do see a Felik_xxxx Wi-Fi hotspot, connect to it, wait 10 seconds, then launch the mobile app.
  5. If you do not see the Felik_xxxx Wi-Fi hotspot, proceed to Wi-Fi Reset guide.
  6. If none of the above helps, perform a Factory Reset.

Felik will automatically create a Wi-Fi hotspot called Felik_xxxx if it is unable to connect to your Wi-Fi network at boot time.
