Authentication error can happen in one of the following reasons:

  • You are attempting to connect to Felik from a device that has not been paired with it before
  • Someone who is paired with Felik has changed the passcode, perhaps from another paired mobile device
  • Someone (perhaps a child in the household) entered the wrong passcode too many times and Felik went into security lockdown
  • An app or firmware update may have corrupted your pairing settings (we try to be careful, but this happened once)


In most cases you will be presented with the passcode, and entering the correct passcode will make things work again. If you forgot your passcode, then the only way to connect to Felik again is to perform a Factory Reset using the hardware buttons.
