This guide is meant to help with troubleshooting Wi-Fi connectivity issues. You can follow these steps any time your device is unable to see Felik either on your home Wi-Fi network, or during the initial pairing and setup process. Please follow each step in sequence to restore Wi-Fi connectivity.

By default (from the factory) Felik is programmed to emit it's own Wi-Fi hotspot. This hotspot does not have Internet connectivity, and you may see a message in your mobile device's Wi-Fi settings stating so. This is OK.

Felik cannot both emit its own Wi-Fi hotspot and be connected to a home Wi-Fi network at the same time. It can only do one or the other.

In the first step, we want to make sure that your Felik is emitting its own Wi-Fi hotspot and that you are able to connect to it. To do so, please perform the following steps:

  1. Go to your mobile device's Wi-Fi settings and look for a network named Felik_abcd where abcd can be a random set of characters & numbers (based on the device's serial number. It should look like this:
  2. Connect to Felik's Wi-Fi hotspot.

  3. Once your mobile device is connected to Felik's Wi-Fi hotspot, please open the Felik mobile app and navigate to Menu > Manage Devices. You should see the Felik device in the list like so:
  4. Once you have paired / connected the app with your Felik device, it's time to connect it to your home Wi-Fi network. To do so, please navigate to Menu > Preferences > Wi-Fi in the Felik mobile app.

  5. Tap the Scan button, and wait a few moments for Felik to search nearby Wi-Fi networks. It should look like this:

  6. Select your home Wi-Fi network from the list, and enter the Wi-Fi password for your network:

  7. Once you tap OK, Felik will disable its Wi-Fi hotspot and will attempt to connect to your home Wi-Fi network. The status light will blink magenta / blue until Felik either successfully connects to your home Wi-Fi network, or fails to connect (ex: due to the wrong passcode being entered).

NOTE: Felik will disable the Wi-Fi hotspot while attempting to connect to your home Wi-Fi network. During this time, your mobile device will disconnect from Felik. If the connection fails, Felik will revert back to hotspot mode, but you will need to manually re-connect your mobile device to Felik's hotspot before trying to connect it to your home Wi-Fi network again.
    • If the connection was successful, Felik will beep and the status light will blink green once for 1/2 second.

    • If the connection was not successful, Felik will beep and the status light will blink red once for 1/2 second. Afterward, Felik will revert back to emitting a Wi-Fi hotspot. You should be able to connect to its Wi-Fi hotspot and try again.

  8. If the connection was successful and Felik emitted a green blink, please go back to your mobile device's Wi-Fi settings and make sure that your mobile device is now connected to your home Wi-Fi network.

  9. Once both Felik and your mobile device are on the same Wi-Fi network, you should be able to see and connect to Felik from the mobile app. If at this point the mobile app is not detecting Felik on your home Wi-Fi network (and Felik is not emitting a Wi-Fi hotspot of its own), then try one of the suggestions outlined in this article.
